When you're up you're up, and when you're down your down

It such an overused analogy, but for lack of something better (my brain and body are both so very tired) this week has been a crazy roller coaster ride! There were days that I wasn't sure I was going to be able to crawl out of bed, and yet if I HAD to crawl out I was so glad to be crawling out in Arizona, even though the very things stressing me out where the details of getting settled in Arizona.

I love to read the Superhero Journal blog written by Andrea Scher Awhile back she wrote something that stuck with me. She said that she had read that the nature of emotions is flow. That instead of trying to fight an emotion (sadness, pain, etc.) that if we let it flow in, then like the tide, it will flow back out.

This has been my mantra this week. So when I would wake up, overwhelmed and panicked, I would go ahead and let myself feel overwhelmed and panicked for as long as I needed to. And guess what-by allowing myself to experience these emotions I really was able to get through this week. The emotions flowed right back out and I was able to accomplish everything that needed to get done.

Day 8

For the most part of the last school year I have been home schooling my oldest. It's been a year full of ups and downs and there are some things I actually really liked about home schooling. But it has also meant having nearly no time to do anything that I want to do just for me. So, you can imagine what it felt like on Monday to take my two oldest to the local school and get them registered!

The schools here was actually one of the big deciding factors for moving to AZ. We did a lot of research and picked a school that we think will be great for our kids. And the best part, kindergarten is ALL DAY!

Day 9

Today, after several hiccups, we FINALLY got the keys to our rental.

Our new landlord was still going to have the place cleaned so we couldn't move in yet, but we have keys!

I was so excited that we celebrated with our very first Arizona Happy Hour.

The Sonic is only 7 minutes from our rental. Home this could be a recipe for disaster, or for pure bliss.

Day 10

Two full weeks ago this truck pulled away from the curb in front of our Utah home. Today it reappeared on the curb in front of our Arizona home.

It was a lovely and intimidating and sight.

Day 13

On Saturday, after several days straight of painting, and unloading in the Arizona summer heat I was feeling particularly exhausted which lead to feeling overwhelmed. I may have even cried a couple of times. But then as I was moving a nightstand something fell out onto the carpet.

I choose to believe it wasn't an accident that it tumbled out at just that moment.

Day 14

It took the better part of 3 days, but around 6:00 pm tonight our 28' moving truck FINALLY looked like this.

We still have painting to finish, and it will be a few more days before we are actually living there, but all our stuff is in the house.

Now, who is up for a rousing game of "where did I pack that?"

Last week I used Instagram for all my iPhone photos. This week's pictures are brought to you by The Best Camera.

What are you favorite iPhone shooting/editing/sharing apps? I want to try them!

I'm still a little confused on all the renting/buying/moving that you are doing. And I haven't made the time to email you about it.
I love the flow thing you read. I think it's going to be a keeper for me too.
And the two apps I use for photo/video sharing are qik and flipshare. I have no idea if they work on iphones since I don't have that brand. ;)
